Once you have decided what you'd like to get, you need to choose your method of payment. Before you buy, please be sure to read and understand the following requirements that you will need in order to run the DNA -PAT™ software. If you have already read through this and are ready to buy, you can proceed directly to the order screen!

DNA-PAT™ is a web-based software application. As such you will need to have a Internet host provider (a website) that is running at a minimum PHP v4.4 or higher and mySQL v4.1.18 or higher. Before you buy, please be sure to check that your host has these minimums. To run the software, you will simply use your web browser of choice and access the URL of your website. Additonally, DNA-PAT cannot be run from any of the free, "cookie-cutter" websites, such as freepages.rootsweb.com. If you have a host but aren't sure if DNA-PAT will work there, please let us know at support@dna-pat.com and we'll take a look for you!

If you do not have a web host or are using a Rootsweb™ free site, we have a two different solutions for you!!

World Families Network™ has graciously agreed to provide two web hosting solutions. This basic hosting will provide you 100Mb of web space to host your DNA project website and they will even install the DNA-PAT software for you! And, they are doing this for an incredibly low $25 per year plus a one-time $10 setup fee. For those who intend to use the full range of document management features of the TNG software, which can use a lot of space, you may want to consider the second hosting solution, called Deluxe which will offer the same as the Basic hosting, except that it provides 500Mb of web space for $50 per year plus a one-time $10 setup fee.

FamilyDNA.net has also agreed to provide an all-in-one DNA-PAT & TNG hosting solution, completely independent of any testing facility. Whether you are a pro or just getting started they have the tools to make your research easier and faster to organize. They offer two levels of hosting that by default come with both DNA-PAT and TNG and are a complete lock and key solution. They will do all the installs for you and they'll even import your first GEDCOM into TNG to help you get started. The Basic hosting services includes the standard version of DNA-PAT, TNG-DNA and 100Mb of webspace to work, while the Plus includes the professional version of DNA-PAT, TNG-DNA and 500mb of webspace to work with.

We are all used to having upgrades to the various software packages we use. Many users may choose to start with the standard version of DNA-PAT™ and take on additional projects or discover that they'd like to use the features from the professonal version. Does this mean they'll have to buy a completely new copy of the toolkit at the professional rate? No! It's simple to upgrade from standard to pro and the cost is just $30!! And, the upgrade only involves some code modifications, so your data is not lost or affected by the upgrade!

And, as with any piece of software, there are incremental and sub-version updates (i.e. from v1.0.54 to v1.0.55). These types of updates are a necessary component and will always be free of charge. Generally speaking the only time that additional costs MAY be incurred is when a new major version is rolled out, for example DNA-PAT™ version 3.

Additionally, some folks will have already purchased the TNG software and will only need the DNA version upgrade. As with the DNA-PAT™ upgrade, they won't need to buy a completely new version of the TNG software. Instead, it's a $5 charge and a simple code update that once again does not affect your data!
